The machine is being launched with an Six cylinder 3000 CC engine and 285 Horsepower (HP) and Haldex Traction All wheel Drive (AWD) option. The car is currently being supplied from Belgium (Ghent) however as per news sources Volvo, depending on the sales in 2009, will slowly move its assembly base.  This has been designed under the tutelage of Steve Mattin, the design director at Volvo Car Corporation.

If you have already been impressed by Audi Q7s interiors and dashboard, then with the Volvo XC 60, you are about to drop dead. The carefully carved design has an white led lighted control panel on the right side of the steering wheel which allows you to operate the Anti-theft alarm (which includes Immobiliser), Volume Sensor and Level Sensor, Key Integrated Remote Control Central Locking including Fuel Flap with Deadlocking System and Auto Open/Close Windows/Sunroof. The Steering Wheel of Volvo XC 60 has Audio Controls for the music system (which is the only feature that is unimpressive) that comes with the SUV.
