It is a completely new experience into biking, the concept is similar to that of ‘Comet’ that was introduced by Kinetic couple of years back. The good thing about FZ16 is its handling, since the seating is a little high due to a single shock absorber, the handling is smooth and it does not give you any discomfort even though it weighs 137 kgs. The seating makes it a little difficult for ladies to hop on to the bike. Bottom line, your girl friend needs to start maintaining herself if you want to take her on a long ride on this bike, else you will have a terrible back pain to complain about instead of bragging about the good time that you had.

Yamaha FZ 16 – Speed

Unlike other 150 CC bikes the Yamaha FZ 16 has a much better initial pick-up, this is something that Yamaha has been known for since Yamaha RX 100. The FZ 16 takes the road from 0-60 KMPH in 5.2 seconds which is the best in its class and 0-100 KMPH in 18.2 seconds, you’ve got to ride it to believe it.

The fuel tank capacity is about 12 litres and the average mileage in the city is about 35 kmpl but the highway is around 42 kmpl. So if you are seen an advertisement that says Yamaha FZ 16 gives a mileage of 60 or 70 KMPL, well, the reallity is different. The front and back tires add up to the look of the bike with a 100/80-17 and 140/60-R17 respectively. The front headlamp could have been remodelled to look a little better, now it looks more like a Hero Honda CBZ head lamp fixed on the Yamaha.
