You may also build links with Google alerts. Remember to comment by following the discussion as most of the comments have to be approved by the owner before they are posted. Keep in mind that the backlinks are worth more only if they come from a website related to yours. I suggest you to write at least 50 words in the comment and always try and follow the topic. This is the only thing that’s going to differentiate you from a spammer and get you more traffic.

Reciprocal Links

Search engines don’t like the websites that are composed of hundred percent reciprocal links. But having at least thirty percent reciprocal links is a good idea as the search engines look positively on this and believe you are a real webmaster and not a spam bot. And remember to get all you links from related websites. The importance of one way backlinks is more but reciprocal links also get your website a lot of targeted traffic.

Backlink Checkers

You should always use backlink checkers to see what works so good for your successful competitors. Just go to Google and type “backlink checkers”. Then enter your competitors web url and check who links to them. Now you can clearly see where your competitor is getting links from. You can also try and get backlinks from the same websites. As this helps your competitor, it will also do wonders for your website.
