We all should know that the Search Engines have altogether changed their algorithms years ago. Building links to your website is still as important as it was. How to get more backlinks is now how to get quality backlinks. As now, link building is more important with relevant websites rather than just building hundreds and thousands of unrelated paid links to your website. Google has announced in its official blogs and all over the Web that getting paid inbound links can get your website disappear permanently from their search engines and has also started on their campaign to penalize paid links and the websites selling paid links. Another reason why paid links are not advised is that, when you get too many inbound links to your website overnight or perhaps over a week, you set on the alarms as this doesn’t seem natural and your website can also get penalized by Google.

Why waste the money to but paid links?

I know its tempting when we see these ads saying ten thousand links for just ten dollars. But the more important thing to consider is whether these thousands of paid links are helping your website or blog to rank better in search engines or increasing your websites Paid Rank or not. The answer to this question would be definitely NO. The importance of one way backlinks which we acquire over a period of time is always more than the paid links which we get overnight. So why don’t we invest these ten dollars for something more useful like PPC to get some quality traffic to our website.

Getting Quality links NOT Quantity is the key.

Getting a dozen of quality inbound links from website relevant to your niche and from the websites with a higher Page rank is far better than just getting a thousand or maybe ten thousand paid links from irrelevant and lower Page rank websites. The user friendly websites with rich, helpful and quality information ranks higher in the eyes of the search engines. So, inbound links from such websites will be telling the search engines that you are a quality website too.

News of Google going down on paid links and websites selling paid links disappearing from Google’s index has been published all over the Web. Now very soon, Google will step in and take control of the situation so that the webmasters will have to stop buying paid links to get high Page Rank and SERPs. We are really unsure how Google is going to penalize paid links, but have already started seeing that the paid links are not being indexed by Google. It is now time to build quality inbound links.
